How many temples have you seen?

When I was born there were 8 temples. When we got married there were 13. From the dedication of the St. George Temple in 1877 until 100 years later (1977) there were just 16 temples total. When our first grandchild was born 13 years ago, there were 47. In 1999 there were 15 new ones. In 2000 there were 34 new temples dedicated. Now, at the end of 2008 there are 128 operating temples with 17 more announced or under construction. Yesterday was the first day to obtain tickets for the Draper Utah Temple Open house. We had tickets to see the Rexburg Idaho Temple but it was a very stormy day so we didn't go and we still haven't made it there. We like to visit temples and often go out of our way to see them. Sometimes we are in a city where there is a temple but we have failed to get off the highway or locate the temple. The most frustrating for me was being in San Jose, Costa Rica and not realizing there was a temple there. Gee, I have to go back! When we went to the Cardston temple it was closed due to remodeling. The temple in Tahiti was closed for regular maintenance. Sometimes we are just traveling through so we are not able to stop and attend a session.
