Tidbits

I made three pumpkin pies and accidently left the sugar out..OOPS! I don't eat pumpkin pie but don't mind making it for those in the family who like it.

Last night we had a group effort making these truffles or cake balls. They're super easy except for the dipping and they are oh so good.


Dale and Susan invited us over for supper. We had a great visit. They spend more time away than here in their new home. Dale travels for the university to places like Mongolia and Nepal. Susan goes with him on some excursions or else goes back and forth from Arizona to Canada visiting children and grandchildren.

We made a trip to St. George for a few days. We went trick-or-treating at Pauleen and Conway's home. We missed Sharlene but did see Morris. We stopped over to visit with Gary and Suzanne. We passed by McArthurs and saw them out working on their home. We spent time with Paulette looking at housing options down there. A lot of our snowbird friends haven't gone south yet. On the way down there was a steady caravan of trailers and motor homes, most of which had Alberta license plates. The Town Place Suites and Claytons had just planted pansies. The temperatures were perfect. It was good to wear capris and sandals one last time this year. But this is what we came home to:


It is time to put on fleece or flannel sheets but I have no idea what box or bin they are in.

The garden is obviously over this season. There is still one tomato sitting on the kitchen counter. Reed grew some huge yams. I really enjoyed the green beans fresh out of the garden. They were as good as candy.

Kaden is playing basketball for the first time. Games are on Saturdays.

Riley has a paper route. He passed his drivers test this week but has to turn 16 to get his license.

Owen went roller skating for the first time. Every week his school has an assembly and awards and recognitions are given. He has earned several awards, mostly for reading, and Miles has also received an award.

In the past few days I have seen an elk herd, a moose and many deer. I love wildlife sightings!

Jodi and Ty celebrated their 7th anniversary on Oct. 23rd.

Jayse turned 11 on November 3rd. He is growing taller by the day. He says it is about time he got a growth spurt. Ashley has a birthday on November 15th and Mason has one on November 27th. Our youngest grandchild, #19, will be 18 months old this month so will be eligible for the primary nursery. My oh my, these grandkids are growing up!
