Tri-State ATV Jamboree #1

There were approximately 400 participants in the Tri-State ATV Jamboree. We met for breakfast every morning between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. in Hurricane, Utah. There were 19 different rides. We could pick three of them depending on level of expertise and interest. Each ride ranged from 35 to 65 miles. We picked Wolf Hole, Low Mountain Lookout and Black Rock Canyon Loop. We rode mostly in Arizona. Each day the pickups would line up with a group to caravan to the trail head or staging area. On each ride there were three guides...one leading the group, one in the middle and one following in the rear. Each rider was responsible for the next person behind. If the route took a turn, we would stop and wait for the next rider to catch up to see where we were going. Because of a lot of dust, we had to spread some distance apart. Here are a few pictures of riders, machines, shots along the trail etc. Scenery pictures will be in another post.

These dogs are all females and had 'human' names. Don't ya just love their coats? How dumb. These dogs were the 'children' of the couple who brought them. Crazy. The dog in the first picture rode the whole cool, windy, dusty, bumpy distance inside the coat of her 'mommy.' The only thing that could have been worse is if they were cats.
